Social Bowls

Social bowls are played on each Monday and Thursday afternoon, commencing at 12:30 pm. All members of bowling clubs who are affiliated with Bowls Australia are eligible to play and most welcome to come along and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of social lawn bowls. Individual entries only are accepted and players are placed in teams of between two to four players (depending on numbers wanting to play). Play is generally 3 games of 8 ends each with a coffee break taken after the second game. This is a great opportunity for new bowlers to become familiar with the game and for experienced players to play in a relaxed and fun environment.

Barefoot Bowls

Also referred to as Holiday Bowls. This is an informal event that is run during the Christmas holiday period each Tuesday and Thursday evening and caters for those that are new to the game and often are holidaying in the area. Experienced players are on hand to assist with how to play if required. Families and small groups are welcome, all equipment is provided, bowls clothing is not required, players may literally play barefoot if that is their preference, flat soled shoes such as running shoes and thongs are most acceptable. A modest entry fee also includes a sausage sizzle at the conclusion of play and we offer a fully stocked bar for those that may be thirsty. This event is a great way for family groups to enjoy an activity together and to wind up a day at the beach.

Corporate Cup

This is an event where local businesses and groups are encouraged to enter a team as a fun after hours activity. The event runs for approximately six weeks in February and March and is for non experienced bowlers. Casual clothes are worn and all equipment is supplied by the Club. The final evening includes a meal for the participants and presentation to the winning team. This is a team building experience as well as an easy introduction to playing lawn bowls for the participants.
